Nathan Rose Goes Undefeated at Diamond Billiards Calcutta July 12 2015, 0 Comments
Diamond Billiards 1st Calcutta 9-Ball tournament drew 20 extremely talented players. Exciting matches all day long ending with Nathan Rose going undefeated. I'm happy and proud to be a sponsor of this young and very talented player. Nathan is highly regarded as one of the best players in Florida and a pure joy to watch. He uses one of my Snapshot® Jump/Break cues and will soon be testing my new Low Deflection Prototype Shaft. I'm still working on final details and will release information on it soon.
If you come to Ocala be sure to stop by my Pro Shop at Diamond Billiards at 2911 NE Jacksonville Rd. Say hi to Doug and Paula. Super nice people who treat you right! Great food too! Tell them Terry sent you.

I decided at the last minute to book a vendor space for the Expo. I called Allen Hopkins Jr. Tuesday afternoon and he was very helpful and found a booth for me. I booked a hotel room and started to pack. I left for the 14 hour drive about 6:00 PM and drove til 2:00 AM and took a nap in a Rest Area. I arrived at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks around 2:00 PM on Wednesday. I set up the booth and while exhausted found the Hotel and passed out for the night.
The event itself was awesome. Lots and lots of players and vendors. I met some super nice people. Asia Cy helped me throughout the event. I can't say enough about what an asset she was to me. Thanks Asia!! We worked the booth from 8:00 AM until 9-10 PM. Sales were brisk from start to finish and interest in Snapshot® Cues and Ferrules was incredible.
We also sold lots of Kamui products. I am an authorized Kamui distributor. Kamui introduced their new glove and it is beautiful. We sold lots of them as well as the Gator Grip, Chalk, Chalk Shark, and tips.
And Asia, who knows just about everybody and everybody knows her, went around to find all the pros and had them autograph my event program for me. Thanks again Asia!
Thanks to Paul and Bob Ferry who helped us when we needed a break. Thanks to John Bertone from Kamui who kept me supplied throughout the event. Thanks to Dave Bucholtz for installing Snapshot® Ferrules and tips for me.
I'm looking forward to next year.
West Coast Challenge Pool Tournament, April 9-12, 2015 April 14 2015, 0 Comments
Had a great time at the West Coast Challenge Pool Tournament in Tampa. The Tournament was held at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel near the Tampa Airport. The 4 day event was wildly successful with a 25% increase in player participation from last year. Thursday's 8-ball tournament itself drew well over 400 players and didn't finish until Friday morning. Friday was 9-ball and Team play was Friday and went into Saturday. Sunday was the finals in Teams and the Junior tournament was held. 36 tables were set up in the grand ballroom with 6 practice tables in another room plus a table for speed pool.
This was our first time as a vendor for this event and we were extremely pleased with the interest and feedback from attendees and players. Our Snapshot® Cues and Ferrules were very well received by all. We have demo cues that we allow players to try out before they buy. That was very surprising to many and they all appreciated the chance to try out these new products. All feedback was extremely positive. We were even approached by some businesses who were interested in becoming distributors. Word is spreading very quickly about this product.
We sold a lot of Cues, Cases, Ferrules, Tips and Accessories. Thanks to David Bucholtz of D & D Cue Repair for installing them on customer shafts. Thanks to all our customers.
Special thanks to Kathy, Stephanie, Asia Cy, Randy, Stephen Samuel from Riverside Billiards in Stuart, Florida, Don. Sorry if I forgot anyone. We will be back again next year.

2015 Villages Billiard Expo January 27 2015, 0 Comments
This year's Expo was bigger that last year as expected. Johnny Archer and Nick Varner were the professional guests and gave great clinics and shows. I met both of them and they were both very nice and friendly.
Interest and feedback on my Snapshot® Ferrules has been amazing. This year I exhibited my new line of Snapshot® Cue Sticks and sales were awesome. I also sold many accessories and cases.
I am now converting customer shafts with regular ferrules to Snapshot® Pro Ferrules. These new ferrules are much lighter than the original Snapshot® but have the same physical characteristics. Customers can send shafts to me and I will convert them for $65.00 with ferrule size of choice, tip (Le Pro, Elk Master, Triangle) and shaft cleaning. Premium tips Moori, Kamui, Tiger etc. add $25.00. Please include $10.00 for return shipping.
Here's some photos from the Expo.

Tommy Kennedy Plays in Tony Crosby Tournament in Ocala, Florida. December 09 2014, 0 Comments
The great Tommy Kennedy was in town to play in the Tony Crosby Tournament held at Boulevard Billiards in Ocala, Florida on November 22-23. I met Tommy way back in the 80's when my late friend and master cue maker Wayne Gunn had his shop in Baker's Pool Hall in Tampa, Florida. I haven't seen him since until the tournament. We talked about old times and pool and my new ferrules and cues. I was very excited when he agreed to hit some balls and put them to the test. He tried several with different tips and weights. Long story short, he was very pleased with how they performed. Good solid hit, good feel and very positive feedback. He was impressed and so was I.
I also asked Tony Crosby to hit some balls and he also graciously accepted. I said "please don't baby them. I want to know they can stand up to professional standards." Wow, did he put on a show. Spectators gathered when he tested them. Hard shots, masse shots, english shots, hard draw shots. Cues worked as advertised. I'm proud to say he was impressed and he said this is a great new product. He gave me permission to use his name in approval.
Here's a few photos of Tommy Kennedy trying out some Snapshot® Cue Sticks. Yup, that's me next to Tommy Kennedy.

Update Billiards Expo 2014 at The Villages, Florida January 15 2014, 1 Comment
Last weekend at The Villages Billiards Expo 2014 was a blast! Lots of events and lots of visitors. They had 4 small tournaments throughout the weekend, workshops, a silent auction, and several vendors. Ewa Mataya Laurance and Mike Massey gave several clinics and exhibitions.
Bob Heller and I set up a small display and we brought several cues with the Snapshot™ Ferrules. People were truly impressed at the looks, quality and feel of them. We encouraged many folks to take some shots and play with them as there were 8 tables in the next room. Response was great and very encouraging for me. They loved them. Orders are starting to come in. I just have to keep getting the word out. It's hard to get some people to change once they get used to a cue they have played with for a long time. I'm still looking for more installers to add to the website.
I even was able to get Mike Massey and Ewa Laurence to hit a few balls with my sample cues. They both liked the hit but Mike thought they were a little too heavy for him. I explained to him that I have a new version in production called Snapshot™ Pro which is made with a lighter formula and a thinner wall...and they will be available in 1/2" and 1" lengths. Ewa liked them a lot and wished me good luck with them. Both of them were very nice and friendly. Here's a few pics. Yeah, that's me with the hat. That's Bob with Ewa.

The Myth About Deflection December 29 2013, 0 Comments
I'm sure you have all heard of deflection and squirt. High end cue makers have used this strategy perfectly to market their low deflection shafts... and with great results. It wasn't long ago that no one even heard of deflection. So how did players cope? Here is a great article on deflection from Inside Pool Magazine: http://www.insidepoolmag.com/200708/pool-lessons/the-myth-about-deflection.html

FLORIDA STATE AMATEUR 9-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2013 December 15 2013, 0 Comments
I attended the FLORIDA STATE AMATEUR 9-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2013 this weekend with my friend Bob Heller (Gorilla Bob) at Zingales Billiards in Tallahassee. This was my first tournament to show and promote Snapshot™ Ferrules since introducing and launching the website. Attendance was amazing with over 100 players participating. Thanks to Michael Zingale for allowing us to attend and set up a small display.
Interest in Snapshot™ Ferrules was above expectations. Made some great contacts. Met lots of nice people and got lots of compliments on the concept, beauty and functionality of the ferrules. I also received some friendly and helpful advice from some real shooters, cue makers and repair pros. Thanks Tom from Triple Cross Cues. Thanks Clint Nichols. Thanks George Figueroa from Predator Group.
Many thanks to Bob Heller who worked the floor showing people the ferrules and encouraging them to hit some balls with our demo cues. He also encouraged people to sign up for 2 free ferrule giveaways. We raffled one on Friday night and another on Saturday afternoon to very appreciative winners.
Exposure was my main goal in attending this tournament and I definitely got that. We had a great time and we look forward to attending many more.
